What is a hidden crystal candle? Each hidden crystal candle has a real crystal placed inside the wax, near the bottom of the candle. As the candle burns down, the wax melts and the crystal is revealed. When the candle has burned down and the wax has cooled, lift the crystal out, rinse it with warm soapy water, and keep it. Serenity hides an amethyst, Loves Embrace hides a rose quartz, Purify & Protect hides a black onyx, and Plentiful Prosperity hides a green aventurine. The wax tops are also decorated — with botanicals, and on many candles with crystal chips or a small tumbled stone; the hidden crystal inside is the keepsake.
What sizes do the hidden crystal candles come in? Two sizes: an 8 oz ceramic candle with about a 45-hour burn time, and a 4 oz clear glass candle with about a 25-hour burn time. All of our candles are 100% soy wax with a cotton wick and non-toxic fragrance that contains essential oils.
What does "crystal-infused" mean in your skincare? Crystals are part of the making, not just the label. Our Radiant Skin Elixir is infused with rose quartz in the bottle, and every scent line is matched to its crystal: amethyst for Serenity, rose quartz for Loves Embrace, black onyx for Purify & Protect, and green aventurine for Plentiful Prosperity.
What is Radiant Skin Elixir, and how do I use it? Radiant Skin Elixir is our flagship facial oil: cold-pressed rosehip, grapeseed, and jojoba oils with helichrysum, frankincense, carrot seed, lavender, myrrh, patchouli, Roman chamomile, and sandalwood, infused with dried rose petals and rose quartz. Apply 2–3 drops to damp skin after cleansing, before moisturizer. It is made for mature, dry, and sensitive skin, and is known for helping fade the look of scars and dark spots while calming redness. One bottle is 1 fl oz, handmade in California.
Are your sugar scrubs actually gritty? Yes — it is a real sugar scrub. The base is whipped into a soft, creamy foam, and the fine sugar in it exfoliates as it lathers and rinses. Each jar is 5 oz. Our whipped body butters (3 oz) are the smooth, no-exfoliation ones — rich, creamy, and made to melt into skin.
Is there a crystal in the Hidden Crystal bath salts? How do I use them? Yes — every pouch of Hidden Crystal Bath Salt has a real crystal of the scent's stone hidden inside the salts; you'll find it as you scoop, so check the pouch before you toss it. Use about 1 cup per bath, poured into warm running water. Serenity's is amethyst, Loves Embrace rose quartz, Purify & Protect black onyx, and Plentiful Prosperity green aventurine — the same crystals as the matching candles.
Crystal Candle Questions
Are crystal candles safe? Can you burn a candle with crystals in it? Yes, with normal candle care. In our hidden crystal candles, the keepsake crystal is placed at the bottom of the candle, inside the wax, so it is revealed only at the end of the burn — it never sits in the flame. Many of our candles are also decorated on top with crystal chips or a small tumbled stone alongside the botanicals; those are decorative, and as the wax melts they may settle into the melt pool. If a chip ever drifts close to the wick, extinguish the candle, let the wax cool until it begins to set, and move or remove the chip before relighting. Otherwise the rules are the same as any quality candle: trim the wick to about ¼ inch, keep the candle away from drafts and anything flammable, never leave it unattended, and stop burning when about ½ inch of wax remains. Then let it cool completely, lift your crystal out, and rinse it with warm soapy water.
Why do people put crystals in candles? What do crystal candles do? People burn crystal candles to pair a scent and flame with an intention — calm, love, protection, abundance — and the crystal becomes a keepsake of that intention. In our candles the crystal waits at the bottom of the wax: you set the intention when you light it, and the crystal is revealed as the candle completes its burn.
What is the 3-hour candle rule? As a rule of thumb, burn a candle about 1 hour for every inch of its diameter — roughly 3 hours for a 3-inch candle — so the melt pool reaches the edges. That prevents tunneling (wax wasted on the walls). Avoid burning longer than about 4 hours at a time; let the wax cool and re-solidify before relighting, and trim the wick each time.
Why shouldn't you leave a candle on? Can I sleep with a candle burning? Never leave a burning candle unattended, and always extinguish candles before sleeping. An open flame near fabric, paper, pets, or a draft is a fire risk no candle is worth. If you want scent overnight, one of our aura mists is the safer ritual.
What is the healthiest candle to burn? How can I tell if a candle is toxic? Look for 100% soy or beeswax instead of paraffin, a cotton or wood wick (avoid metal-core wicks), and non-toxic fragrance. Every Starlite Soul candle is 100% soy wax with a cotton wick and non-toxic fragrance that contains essential oils — the full specs are printed on every label. Candles to avoid: paraffin wax with heavy synthetic fragrance and dye, and any candle with a metal-core wick.
What are the best crystals to put in candles? The four we chose, and why: amethyst for calm and grounding (Serenity, with lavender), rose quartz for love and self-love (Loves Embrace, Love Spell fragrance), black onyx for protection and cleansing (Purify & Protect, black cedarwood & juniper), and green aventurine for abundance and prosperity (Plentiful Prosperity, cashmere plum).
What color candle do you burn for good luck? For removing negative energy? Green is the classic candle color for luck and abundance — that's our Plentiful Prosperity. Black is used for protection and clearing heavy or negative energy — that's Purify & Protect. Pink is for love (Loves Embrace) and purple for calm and intuition (Serenity).

Intention Candle Questions
What is an intention candle? What is a manifestation candle? They are the same thing: a candle made for a specific purpose — love, abundance, clarity, protection — usually with a matched scent, color, herbs, and sometimes crystals. Our Intention Collection names the purpose right on the label: Attract, Awakened, Uplifted, Embrace, Expand, and Insightful. Our Affirmation candles work the same way, as "I am" statements: Worthy, Grounded, Focused, Balanced, Alluring, Divine, Sincere.
How do I use an intention candle? How do you put an intention into a candle? Choose the candle that matches what you are calling in. Before the first burn, hold the intention clearly in mind — many people write it on paper and keep it under or beside the candle. Light the candle when you can be present with it, let the wax melt to the edges (about an hour per inch of width), and extinguish it when you leave or sleep; relight it each time you return to the work. An intention candle is usually burned in sessions across days, not in one sitting.
How long should you let an intention candle burn? Per session, follow the candle-care rule: long enough for the melt pool to reach the edges (roughly 1 hour per inch of diameter, about 3 hours for most jars), and no more than about 4 hours at a time. Never leave it burning unattended or overnight.
What scent and color are best for manifestation? It depends on the goal. Green and warm, rich scents (our Plentiful Prosperity, cashmere plum) are used for abundance and luck. Pink and sweet florals (Loves Embrace) for love. Citrus and bright scents for energy and uplift. Lavender and purple for calm and intuition. The strongest choice is the one matched to your specific intention — that is exactly how our collections are built.

Orders & Shipping
Is everything made to order? Almost everything, yes. Starlite Soul Store is a made-to-order shop right now: most items are handmade when you order, so please allow up to 2 weeks for your order to ship unless a product page states otherwise. Products that show an inventory quantity are already made and ship sooner.
Where do you ship from, and how? Orders ship from Vallecito, California via USPS. Shipping is calculated at checkout. Remember the made-to-order lead time above comes first — your 2-week window is for your order to be made and shipped, then USPS transit time applies.
Do you sell wholesale? Yes. Retailers can order through our Faire shop or contact us directly about wholesale and consignment. Our Radiant Skin Elixir is rated 5 out of 5 stars by the independent retailers who carry it on Faire.
What is your return policy? All sales are final — we do not accept returns. If your order arrives damaged, contact us with photos of the damage and we will refund you.
